The RTS Programme Awards span all the genres of television programming, from soaps to history, children's fiction to comedy performance. They cover both national and regional output and recognise exceptional actors, presenters, writers and production teams as well as the programmes themselves. The Awards ceremony is held every March in central London. The Programme Awards Committee is chaired by David Liddiment.
