Joanna Shields, Vice-President, EMEA, Facebook: ‘Re-Imagine’

Joanna Shields is Vice President of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Facebook. Prior to Facebook, Joanna was Chief Executive of Bebo, President of AOL’s social and communications division and Managing Director, Syndication and Partnerships for Google Europe, Russia, Middle East and Africa. At this RTS dinner Joanna will be discussing her career.

11 November - London

Stewart Purvis CBE: ‘Calling time on analogue regulation – an agenda for the next Communications Act’
Venue: Cavendish Conference Centre, 22 Duchess Mews, London, W1G 9DT
Tickets are now available for our RTS Fleming Lecture next month. By the time Digital Switchover completes in 2012 the rules that govern the content in British broadcasting will be nearly a decade old. Since the Communications Act of 2003 digital television and broadband internet have become mainstream. In his RTS Fleming Lecture, Stewart Purvis will argue that it is time to call time on analogue-style content regulation and that a new Communications Act should introduce fundamental reform.

Back due to popular demand but with an entertainment twist! This is the second in the series of RTS Futures Speed Date events, this time focusing on entertainment TV. At this event you have the chance to ‘speed-date’ some of the UK’s leading entertainment programme makers; face-to-face, one-on-one.

Michael Grade CBE in conversation with Ray Snoddy

It is an incontrovertible fact that Michael Grade is one of the most experienced television executives in the country. At this event he will be discussing his lengthy career with journalist Ray Snoddy.

26 October - Dublin

27 October - London

Demystify… Rights
